What is You-Que?
You-Que is an online video streaming feature for uploading self-made videocasts that is being linked to Session 656: Atherosclerosis Update: Development, Risk, Identification and Prevention at ACC.09. Meeting attendees or non-attendees can record and upload their own video clips asking a question related to atherosclerosis.

What types of questions and topics may be uploaded?
Individuals are asked to submit question related to the development, risk, identification or prevention of atherosclerosis.

What will be covered in the Atherosclerosis Update session?

Is there a deadline for submitting You-Que videocasts?
All videocasts must be submitted no later than March 16, 2009.

Can I submit a You-Que videocast even if I am not attending ACC.09?
Absolutely. We will accept uploaded video questions from meeting attendees, as well as from those individuals who cannot attend this year.

How will You-Que questions be selected for the session?
The Atherosclerosis session co-chairs will preview all videocasts that have been submitted by the deadline and select those to be shown and answered by faculty experts during in the live session. Priority will be given to answering questions that maximize the learning opportunity for all. Due to an expected heavy volume of submissions, not all You-Que video questions will be used during the live session. ACC reserves the right to edit submitted videocasts.

Are there any production guidelines for You-Que videocasts?
The production guidelines are as follows:

Videocasts should be no more than 30 seconds long

Questions may be about the development, risk, identification or prevention of atherosclerosis

All questions must be posed in English

At the beginning of the videocasts, participants should state their name, their institution and city/state/country and specifically to whom their question is addressed, or if it's to the entire "panel"

No professional video recording equipment is needed; videocasts can be made using digital cameras with a video feature, cell phones, webcams or any other amateur video recording equipment

Submit all videocasts no later than March 16, 2009

Is a camcorder necessary to make a You-Que videocast?
No. While camcorders are a great way to make videos, they aren't the only one. You-Que videocasts can be made using a digital camera with a video feature, a cell phone, a webcam or any other amateur video recording equipment.

How do I make a You-Que videocast?
It’s easy. Follow these steps:

You'll need to have a device that can capture digital movies — this could be a digital camera with a video feature, a cell phone, a webcam, a camcorder or any other amateur video recording equipment.

Once you are happy with your recording, copy the video clip to your computer.

Click here to upload your video to You-Que now. Video clips can be uploaded in either QuickTime .MOV, Windows .AVI, or .MPG files — these are the most common formats and they work well within our system. NOTE: For some types of cell phones and mobile devices, you can upload to the You-Que site directly, without first copying the movie file to your computer.
